1. Describe the finished product
State the product name and form: sealed tea, snack packs, capsules, gummies or a supplement powder. Include the SKU breakdown and full ingredients or formula for the responsible product review.
2. Prepare the label and manufacturer details
Keep a readable final label file, manufacturer identity and country of origin with the brief. Product classification and applicable import requirements should be resolved with your importer and adviser.
3. Measure after packing
Provide the final outer-carton or pallet dimensions, quantity and gross weight. Include overhang and non-stackable restrictions. An estimate is useful for an initial discussion; finished measurements are needed for a comparable proposal.
4. State the storage specification
Share the manufacturer’s temperature and humidity limits and remaining shelf life. Standard dry-container transport does not hold a specified temperature. Sensitive cargo needs an equipment and handling assessment before booking.
5. Identify the China handover point
Give the pickup city and whether cargo will be collected from a factory or delivered to an agreed origin warehouse. Add the expected readiness date and any loading restrictions.
6. Confirm the US receiving requirements
Provide the business delivery address, ZIP, appointment instructions, inbound reference and unloading facilities. Ask the receiver about pallet format and minimum remaining shelf life.
7. Identify the import contacts
Confirm the importer, broker and applicable FSVP role. Agree who handles shipment filings and the document cut-offs. A delivery warehouse address alone does not establish those responsibilities.
